Tamale Hut Café Writers Group meeting for February

Well, that was fast!  January is almost over, so it’s time to set our sights on the February Writers Group meeting and beyond.  Our round-robin story already has three chapters, and I expect to get another one this week.  If you volunteered to participate, keep an eye on your mailbox, because you may be next!  If you’re interested in participating but haven’t notified me yet, you still have time.  Please please send me an e-mail and I’ll add you to the list.  By the way, I’ve reserved the October Reading Series night to feature our group and our story, that is if it’s in any shape to present.  We can discuss that as the date gets closer.

The next THC Writers Group meeting will be Saturday, February 13th, at the Tamale Hut Café, starting at 2PM.  If you can attend, we’d love to see you there.  If you would like to submit a piece for critique during the meeting, please send it to thcwritersgroup@gmail.com, along with an idea of the level of feedback you are looking for, and I will distribute it to the group.  If you have something you would like feedback on but you can’t attend the meeting, I’d be glad to forward it to the group as well.  We can discuss it at the meeting and get some comments back to you via e-mail.

Hope to see you all on the 13th for the Writers Group, and on the 20th for the February Reading Series night, with featured reader Bill Hillman.

For those of you attending, you should have already received the following pieces:
Christian – How the Southern Democrats Turned My Dad Into a Republican.docx, Red Light Round 4.docx
Sean – SKINNING THE CAT.doc
Matt H – Noah’s ark THC1.2.docx
Matt B – Stalking Stan Dixon ch 16.rtf
Cary – Buddy version 2.docx
Lisa – What it Sounds Like to Move.docx
Marianne – Celebration of Murder Introduction.docx
